To €70,000 DOE Our client, a leading engineering & construction contractor with a reputation for delivering world-class projects across a diverse range of industries, is urgently looking for a highly experienced Electrical Engineer for a Data Centre project in Cork. As Electrical Engineer you are responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical systems and components to ensure required specifications and standards are met. This role requires a strong technical background in electrical engineering, project management skills, and the ability to ensure that electrical systems are safe, reliable, and meet project specifications. Key Responsibilities & Requirements: Responsible for leading pre-construction engineering activities including electrical design review and verification identifying design gaps and deviations or contradictions in the specifications. Ensure that technical assessments are completed as required and technical issues are resolved without delay. Update and record progress on system trackers which are fully aligned with the construction schedule. Review the electrical installation with the BIM team to ensure the design is constructible and that there is adequate space for installation and maintenance. Complete electrical system walk-downs to ensure systems are compliant with specifications and drawings. Develop and execute test plans to evaluate the performance and reliability of electrical systems and components. Oversee quality control processes to maintain high standards of workmanship and reliability. Ensure that all electrical work is performed in compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment on-site. Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications. 5-10 years of experience in a similar role within construction/engineering with focus on Data Centre projects. Proficient in electrical design software and project management tools such as Bluebeam, Amtech, Dialux, Adobe Pro, Navisworks, BIM360, BIMCollab and MS Office Suite Software are desirable. In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, materials, and relevant codes and standards. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail with strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate must be eligible to work in Ireland with no visa restrictions.
